3.1 Phillip Lim and Target are making my closet dreams come true!!

Can I just say that I am SUPER excited for this collaboration???!!  Phillip Lim is not only one of my favorite designers, but currently has a bag (the Pashli, $825 for the medium satchel) that is carried by some of the most fashionable fashionistas out there and is highly coveted by all, which will be remade for the Target line for a much more affordable price.  If you can’t beat them, join them!  Phillip Lim made his own knock-off!  You go, PH!

So, as of this Sunday, September 15th, you too (and by you too, I mean ME!!) can own pieces that are highly reminiscent of his high-end line, for a fraction of the cost!  The collection will range in price from $19.99 to $299.99 for apparel and $19.99 to $59.99 for accessories.

So what’s the best part of about this line??  It’s work chic.  Plain and simple.  The majority of the pieces in the Target line will function well in the work place, accessories included!  The perfect way to achieve a ‘chic’ look in ‘academia’ (or wherever else your workplace may be). 😉

New Beginnings

I have long contemplated writing this blog, and finally, today, decided to give it a go!  I have lots of new beginnings to talk about…amongst them a relatively new academic position, a new baby, a new relationship with my post-partum body, and a new outlook on life!

I am excited, nervous, but mostly intrigued by what this world of blogging will add to my life.  Most of all, I am eager to share my experience as an academic with a serious love of fashion (seriously, I love it!), as well as how it all stays in balance along with kids, a hubby, a household, and professional success.

Many more posts to come soon, but for now, this little bit to pique your interest and curiosity. 🙂
